You may be wondering why BASKETS are on my website. My friends and family know I am a "basketcase" and enjoy the maple baskets hand crafted by the Longaberger® Company. For those of you who came to this page first looking for "the basket lady," I hope you will spend some time learning more about my passion for the sanctity of life. Years ago, I worried that my love for baskets might border on idolatry, taking the rightful place of God in my heart. In my prayers, I found reassurance that my appreciation for hand-crafted baskets could be used to remind me of my Creator. Every time I hold one of my baskets I am reminded that just as this basket bears the marks of its weaver, I am "fearfully and wonderfully made" and hold the evidence of my Creator in my very being.
